"Comparison" settings

Visual Comparer uses the following parameters to compare files and lines:

General:
auto adjustment of similar lines - total adjustment of similar lines in every difference blocks at start up or after recomparing of current files (note: accessible only in registered version!);
Ignore:
case sensitive - ignore case sensitive for upper and lower characters;
all spaces - ignore all space characters at comparison of lines. Space as symbols are considered white-space character in range: 0x09 - 0x0D or 0x20 (space);
  • leading spaces - ignore leading spaces in lines (active only if "all spaces" flag is turn off);
  • changes in amount of spaces - ignore difference in amount of spaces and compare it as one space character (active only if "ignore all spaces" flag is turn off);
Line matching:
Show differences when "F12" key is pressed - activate of symbol-by-symbol line comparison mode. If lines are not equal, Visual Comparer makes symbol-by-symbol comparison. Different symbols are displayed by default red and identical - black;
  • Show &whitespaces also - to show at line-by-line comparison blanks and tabulation symbols;
Note: You can fix up "show differences" mode. Simply press "Shift+F12".
